Overview
This "reverse prism" diagram uses brand guidelines and assets to illustrate the process of the organization, Common Approach to Impact Measurement. On the left side, social purpose organizations input data. Through Common Approach (the prism), streamlined reporting is produced, helping organizations communicate their impact to funders efficiently and effectively.
Process
In this project, the client had already brainstormed the "reverse prism" concept. The puzzle I solved was how to include details that would convey Common Approach's mission clearly. I used brand assets to depict the "light" travelling through the prism, namely colours and shapes from the brand guide as well as past diagrams. To give the prism a transparent effect, I used different tints of the brand's blue/grey colour. To minimize the wording required to describe the mission (this is a diagram, after all!) as well as to indicate the reverse direction of the light refraction, I simply labeled the left and right sides and used the universal arrow symbol.
