Guelph Farmers' Market Ad Campaign
Spec Work
10C Shared Space, my previous employer, is also the operator of the Guelph Farmers' Market. I asked them if they would like me to feature the Market for my Ad Campaign assignment and they agreed. Importantly, these ads were never put into print.
10C aspires to amplify the good that the market does for the community by expanding its use to community gatherings outside the traditional market days. Ideally, if these ads were to print, benefactors would include vendors as well as the market operating staff.
The Idea behind the campaign was to highlight three enjoyable aspects about the Guelph Farmers’ Market that can make someone's Saturday better. Hopefully, highlighting how their Saturdays could benefit from a visit to the market would increase the number of visitors. I decided to emphasize the parts of the images that relate to the messaging by putting those aspects in colour and the rest in black and white. Framing the market as an enjoyable space to be also supports 10C’s goals of expanding the use of the market space to all sorts of gatherings.
After receiving feedback that the ads weren't distinct from one another, I changed the word "beautiful" to whatever the ads were describing in a tangible way: Fresh, Friendly, and Delicious.
